HEALTH CARE SCREENING

Both evaluators and clients want accurate problem screening and appropriate referral when needed. This often means that clients are screened, and those with serious problems are referred for counseling or treatment.  To be effective, assessors need reliable, valid and accurate assessment instruments or tests that provide inclusive, relevant and timely results.

The Treatment Intervention Inventory (TII) is an automated (computer-scored) self-report that screens several health care issues like:

The TII is designed for screening, intake and referral. The TII is administered and scored on-site with reports available within 2½ minutes of test data entry. The TII measures problem minimization and faking, assess depression, quantifies the level of anxiety, substantiates self-esteem, verifies distress, calculates alcohol and drugs abuse severity while classifying the client's ability to handle stress. And, the TII reflects the clients opinion or motivation for help.

The TII is appropriate for assessment-referral, counseling intake, and client treatment program evaluation.

This webpage contains a description of the TII, an example report and some TII research. And, as always, additional information can be provided upon request. Risk & Needs Assessment, Inc.'s (Risk & Needs') e-mail address is hhl@riskandneeds.com.
